Brown Polar Bears are a rarity... but this January 1st, 2011 at Sunnyside Pavillion at 11:00 am there is going to be a dozen or more Brown Toronto Polar Bears diving into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario. These Polar Bears bleed Blue & White- they need the Leaf Nation to come out and support their cause, like they did last year.
I know everyone is busy with the holiday planning, snow shoveling and last minute Christmas shopping. While you are doing that I'm sitting in an ice-filled tub practicing like a LEAF for my New Years Day Polar Bear Dip :). I know, I know you must be thinking... these Brown Polar Bear Dudes are crazy to take the plunge again... they are just nuts! but that's a sign of True Grit, Sacrificing the Body for the Team! Help us LEAF FANS?
You know the water is extremely cold... hovering at 0 deg C. I'm feeling cold just thinking of it... and tell you the truth Brown Bear's hate the cold?But hey... when there is a good cause... True Leaf Fans don't back down and will support us. How can Leaf Nation help out the Brown Polar Bears? We want to be the #1 fundraising team ever. Help the Brown and White, in their efforts to raise neededmoney for 60,000 families in need of decent shelter in Toronto.
Face it... many of us are very blessed financially and we're not going to break the bank by donating $10, $20, $50 or what ever. Or we know friends and family who can.
